Gilded Age

This term comes from the late 19th century in a time of crisis in the US where people gold-plated things in order to keep up appearances, by the 20th century this term defined that era.

Gold plated things are back and are hotter than ever, I love touches of gold on my clothes it makes me feel amazing; I have a thing for shinny things.

The first time I saw this jacket at Bimba y Lola I thought I had to have it, it’s shearling wool and gold plated, it has it all.

It is not an easy task being able to wear a big gold garment specially when it adds a few pounds to your appearance, that`s why I like to wear this piece with a plain t-shirt, I usually just partially tuck it in on my jeans to highlight my waist, this time I wore a pair of boyfriend jeans and I cuff them in order to show my ankles and look more skinny, showing some skin always helps.

One of my favorite looks ever are stilettos + boyfriend’s, they look feminine and masculine at the same time it`s a perfect balance of both, I added to my look this pair of gold stilettos as a final touch.

No accessories are needed, I like all eyes on my statement gold-plated shearling wool jacket.

I hope you like this look later on I`ll upload more looks with this coat.
