Last December I got to do my first international styling job with the Mexican band CD9 in Nevada.
I always though Nevada was all about Vegas, but on this trip I got to see what an amazing place Nevada is.
We did an amazing tour and visited all hot spots in Nevada.
We stayed in Reno at the Atlantis Hotel Casino, this hotel is awesome you have the classic casino vibes and also the biggest arcade I have ever seen, the buffet was spectacular and it’s famous for its cotton candy, the best I’ve ever had and of course you get to eat all day, I think I gained a few pound on this trip.
But what I loved the most about this hotel was the original 70’s decoration and how preserved it was, for the first time in my life I got to feel the casino life and at the place where it all started.
On day two we did a shooting a the Diamond Peak Ski Resort, I had to take advantage of this gorgeous place to take some pictures of my outfit, all the ski trails where closed so we had the place just for us, this has been one of my favorite locations ever.
If you are looking for a new place to ski you have to go to Diamond Peak, you can actually see Lake Tahoe from the top of the mountain, just imagine skiing to that.
That same day we went to Mt. Rose where we actually got to ski, I love skiing it’s one of my favorite sports, I love how cold it is and the view.
On day three we visited Heavenly Village a gorgeous town taken out from a fairytale, before that we went to Zephyr Cove where we took the tour ferry of Lake Tahoe, it was freezing but it was totally worth it.
On day four we visited Downtown Reno, the place where the magic started, wherever you go you can feel the gambling, I loved that almost all the casino signs are retro I even did a photograph series on my Instagram of all these cool signs.
Sadly our last day came and we had to come back but I have to say I’ll be going back soon, I loved Nevada; now that I know how cool it is maybe I’ll plan a trip to Las Vegas too.
