Velvet is one of the coolest textiles ever and it’s one of the biggest trends this Fall-Winter.
For some people is ugly and kitsch, but I just love it.
When I found this green velvet sweatshirt I felt for it, I had to have it, then I found out it was from a Mexican designer, I end up liking it more.
The brand is called Ocelote, created by César Flores.
They offer basic items with a cool vibe; their inspiration is Mexico, its surroundings, culture and urbanism.
Their must iconic items are the signature velvet garments and the ones inspired by the “luchadores” masks.
I bought this sweatshirt last December and I’m still wearing it, I like that is comfy and I can wear it with sneakers, leggings, skirts or heels.
Last Christmas it was the statement piece of my outfit, and don´t know why but it feels Chrismassy, maybe because Santa wears velvet…
This time I wore it with boyfriend jeans, a gold candy wrap inspired clutch that my sister in law gave me last Christmas and a pair of golden sandals.
I hope you like it and get inspired to start using more velvet.

El terciopelo es unos de los textiles más cool y una de las tendencias más grandes para este Otoño-Invierno.
Para algunas personas es feo y kitsch, pero a mi me encanta.
Cuando me topé con esta sudadera me enamoré , la tenia que comprar, después me enteré que es de un diseñador mexicano y terminó gustándome aun más.
La marca se llama Ocelote y fue creada por César Flores.
Ellos ofrecen prendas básicas con una vibra muy cool, su inspiración es México, sus alrededores, cultura y urbanismo.
Sus prendas más icónicas son las de terciopelo y las que están inspiradas en las mascaras de los luchadores.
Compré esta sudadera el año pasado en diciembre y la sigo usando, me gusta que es muy cómoda y puedo combinarla ya sea con leggins, tenis, faldas o tacones.
El año pasada la use en Navidad como statement piece, no se por qué pero tiene una sensación navideña, puede ser por que Santa usa terciopelo…
Esta vez la usé con unos boyfriend jeans, un clutch inspirado en el envoltura de un dulce que me dio mi cuñada el año pasado en Navidad y un par de sandalias doradas.
Espero les guste y se inspiren a usar más terciopelo.
