Alexander Wang is one of my favorite contemporary fashion designers; his design line is sophisticated yet relaxed.
H&M is a Swedish clothing, accessories, and beauty brand for women, men and children, now they sell home accessories too.
The famous chain opened its first store in Mexico two years ago in the mall Santa Fe.
In 2004, H&M decided to launch a clothing line in collaboration with the fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, his clothing line got sold out within a couple hours, the great success of this collection H&M launched the next year a clothing line in collaboration of the talented designer Stella McCartney, next in 2006 they collaborated with the Dutch designers Viktor&Rolf .
The subsequent years H&M did collaborations with world renowned fashion icons as the queen of pop Madonna, the Italian Roberto Cavalli, the Finish brand Marimekko, the Japanese brand Commes des Garçons, Matthew Williamson, Jimmy Choo, Sonia Rykiel, Lanvin, Versace, Marni,the Vogue Japan fashion editor Anna Dello Russo, Maison Martin Margiela, Isabell Marant and finally the Taiwanese-American Alexander Wang.
The fashion collection by Wang was launched in November this year with a great variety of clothes, shoes and accessories created with the characteristic minimalism of Alexander Wang.
The design line is sport, it has a number of sports tops, jackets, sweat shirts, in neoprene, cotton, nylon, polyester such as in dresses, bottoms and sweaters in Alexander Wang’s most representative colors black, grey and white.
My favorite piece was this large sweater with see-through horizontal lines and cuts on the front and back that allude to a reptile with the same concept of showing what’s under the sweater.
I love the idea of wearing a sports top under this sweater but since is winter and its really cold I decided to wear it with a white shirt under it, a pair of grey jeans and the Martin Margiela for H&M ankle booties, the sports top has to wait until the spring is back.
I can’t wait for the new collaboration I hope is amazing and with a great designer like Wang!
My Recommendation:
The Alexander Wang x H&M collection is sold out but it doesn’t mean you can wear sport clothes, you can find a sweater with the same characteristics such as see-through cuts or the large size, and create a look inspired by Wang’s collection and wear sports tops.
If you have Alexander Wang for H&M clothes create different looks, you don’t have to necessarily wear them like Rihanna or the H&M’s look book try to play with you clothes.

Alexander Wang es uno de mis diseñadores contemporáneos favoritos, su línea diseño es sofistica y relajada.
H&M es una marca sueca de ropa, accesorios y belleza para damas, caballeros y niños, hoy en día cuenta también con una línea de accesorios para el hogar.
La afamada cadena llego a nuestro país hace dos años abriendo su primera tienda en el centro comercial Santa Fe.
En 2004 H&M decidió hacer una colaboración con el diseñador Karl Lagerfeld, la línea de ropa con su diseño se agotó un par de horas después de ser puesta a la venta, el éxito de la colección logró que la marca lanzara el siguiente año una línea de ropa diseñada por la talentosa Stella McCartney y consecutivamente en 2006 con la colaboración de los diseñadores holandeses Viktor & Rolf .
Los años siguientes hubo colaboraciones con personajes de la talla de la reina del pop Madonna, el italiano Roberto Cavalli, la marca finlandesa Marimekko, la marca japonesa Commes des Garçons, Matthew Williamson , Jimmy Choo, Sonia Rykiel, Lanvin, Versace, Marni, la editora de Vogue Japón Anna Dello Russo, Maison Martin Margiela, Isabell Marant y finalmente el estadounidense de origen Taiwanés Alexander Wang.
La colección diseñada por Wang fue lanzada este en noviembre de este año con una amplia variedad de prendas y zapatos creados con el minimalismo que identifica a Alexander Wang.
La línea de diseño es deportiva, cuenta con una serie de tops deportivos, chamarras, sudaderas en materiales como neopreno, algodón, lycra, poliéster, en vestidos, pantalones y suéteres en los colores que mejor representan a Wang, negro, gris, blanco.
Mi pieza favorita fue este amplio suéter con líneas horizontales transparentes y cortes que aluden a un reptil en el pecho y en la espalda con el mismo concepto de dejar ver que hay debajo del suéter.
Me gusta la idea de usar un top deportivo debajo de este suéter pero ya que es invierno y hace mucho frio, decidí usarlo con una camisa blanca unos jeans grises y los botines Maison Martin Margiela para H&M, el top deportivo tendrá que esperar a la primavera.
Ya quiero que salga la nueva colaboración, espero que esté increíble y sea con un gran diseñador de moda como Wang!
Mi Recomendación:
La colección de Alexander Wang x H&M está agotada pero no significa que no puedan usar ropa deportiva, pueden encontrar un suéter con características similares a éste, suajes y transparencias o el tamaño grande y crear un look inspirado por la colección de Wang y usar un top deportivo.
Si tienen prendas de la colección de Alexander Wang para H&M creen diferentes looks, no deben necesariamente usarlas como Rihanna o el look book de H&M, jueguen con su ropa.
