Overall Obsession

Overalls are awesome, when I was little I use to wear them all the time, regardless of season and weather.

In Cocoyoc I use to wear them on top of my swimsuit, my overall joined me in every adventure I had.

I few months ago I started feeling the need to buy a new pair of overalls, I visited the different stores known because of its denim like Pepe Jeans, Levi’s and Gap, but I didn’t succeed.

I must say that I found a pair of overalls in the Pepe Jeans store but they had squares of different shades of denim on the bottom.

The search continued until on Thursday I was walking by Paseo Interlomas with my mom and we discover that the Pull & Bear store reopened it’s doors, the last months it was closed for remodeling, when I got into the store I notice It has more friendly lightning and an incredible design.

While doing the compulsory tour of the store I found the perfect overalls, whit a medium shade of denim, ripped, and the best of it ¡they fitted!

I met the new changer while trying on the overalls whit different shirts and sweaters for them look great on every occasion and weather.

The Small size fitted but when I tried a chunky sweater it look tight, I decide to buy a size Medium overall to keep my sweater to bulge.

I wore my new overalls on Friday since my boyfriend and I went to Valle de Bravo on the long weekend, they where perfect for it.

Overalls are back and are everywhere, on the runway, in stores and on the street style from around the world.

I’ll be posting different looks with my new overall for you to use as inspiration.

This time I used it in a sport way.

My Recommendation: Take the risk and wear overalls even though it looks oddly childish, this garment looks incredible in different ways.

Each one has a style but I recommend avoiding the patterned and degraded overalls they make us look bigger than we actually are, if traditional overalls make us look bigger imagine if we add color and texture.

Overalls are not an excuse to look untidy, we must think on the elements of the outfit to wear them with style.

Los overoles son increíbles, cuando era pequeña los usaba todo el tiempo sin importar la estación.

En Cocoyoc los usaba sobre el traje de baño y me acompañaban en todas mis aventuras.

Desde hace unos meses he sentido la necesidad de comprar un overol de nuevo, visité las distintas tiendas que son reconocidas por su mezclilla como Pepe Jeans y Levi’s y Gap , pero no tuve éxito.

Debo decir que en Pepe Jeans si había un overol pero no era mi estilo ya que tenia unos cuadros decolorados en distintos tonos de mezclilla en las piernas.

La búsqueda continuó hasta que el jueves de la semana pasada iba caminando con mi mamá y me tope con la nueva tienda de Pull & Bear de Paseo Interlomas, llevaba ya unos meses cerrada por remodelación y no sabía que ya la habían abierto, al entrar note que la luz es mucho más amigable y que el diseño de la tienda está muy cool.

Al dar un vuelta por la tienda me tope con el perfecto overol, con un tono de mezclilla medio, con un poco de desgaste en las piernas y lo mejor ¡me quedó!

Estrené los nuevos vestidores probándome el overol con distintas blusas y suéteres, para que este luciera bien en toda ocasión y clima.

La talla S me quedo un poco justa al agregar un chunky sweater entonces decidí comprar un overol talla M, para evitar que los suéteres se abulten.

El viernes fue el día perfecto para usar esta nueva prenda ya que mi novio y yo fuimos el puente a Valle de Bravo.

Este año los overoles han regresado y están presentes en todos lados, en las pasarelas, las tiendas y en el street style de todo el mundo.

Subiré diferentes looks con este overol para que usen de inspiración.

En esta ocasión lo usé de manera sport.

Mi Recomendación: tomen el riesgo de usar un overol de nuevo aunque les parezca infantil, ésta prenda luce increíble de distintas formas.

Cada quien tiene un estilo pero recomiendo no usar overoles con degradaos de color y con patrones llamativos ya que hacen que luzcamos mas grandes de los que somos, un overol tradicional aumenta un poco nuestro tamaño, imaginen si les agregamos muchos colores y figuras.

Usar overol no es un pretexto para lucir desaliñado, hay que pensar en los complementos de la vestimenta para lucirlo con estilo.
